Greater Moncton, February 20, 2026 – The Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM) is proud to announce its partnership as a transportation ally with #NotInMyCity, a national awareness and prevention initiative working to combat sexual exploitation and human trafficking across Canada.

As a key transportation hub in Atlantic Canada, YQM recognizes the important role airports can play in raising awareness and supporting efforts to prevent exploitation. By becoming a transportation ally, YQM will work alongside #NotInMyCity to help educate airport employees, partners, and the travelling public on recognizing the signs of human trafficking and how to report concerns safely and appropriately.

“Airports connect communities, businesses, and families, but we also have a responsibility to be vigilant and proactive,” said Courtney Burns, President, and CEO of the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority. Partnering with #NotInMyCity reinforces our commitment to safety and awareness for those travelling through YQM.

In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on February 22, YQM has introduced awareness materials throughout the terminal and is providing training opportunities for staff and partners to help strengthen understanding and vigilance.

“On behalf of #NotInMyCity and our allies, I’m pleased to welcome YQM into our network of partners across the country,” says Paul Brandt, Founder, #NotInMyCity. “By joining forces, we strengthen our commitment to protecting communities from human trafficking and exploitation.”

Human trafficking is a hidden crime that impacts individuals of all ages and backgrounds. By increasing awareness, encouraging informed action, and fostering open dialogue, YQM aims to help create a safer travel environment for all.
