Greater Moncton International Airport Authority Welcomes New Board Member
DIEPPE – The Greater Moncton International Airport Authority (GMIAA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Janice Lirette Evers, as our newest Board member. She has been selected to join Board’s Audit and Environment committees. The new appointment continues to build on the already strong governance and community leadership commitment of the Board.
Welcoming the appointment, Airport Authority Chair of the Board of Directors, Mr. Chris Bacich, said “We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Lirette Evers to the GMIAA Board. She brings extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, strategic planning, forecasting and financial analysis to the table.”
A few facts on Janice Lirette Evers:
- Appointed to the Board by the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority
- Is a certified professional accountant (CPA)
- Is currently a controller with Acadian Construction LTD
- Has been an active member on several community boards and is currently part of the Coop de Dieppe
- Is a member of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants
As a financially independent, not-for-profit corporation, the GMIAA Board has been able to attract some of the region’s strongest leaders to oversee the organization’s strategic direction. With operating revenues in excess of $18 million annually and providing air service to more than 644 thousand passengers in 2015, the GMIAA is a strong economic leader, delivering a total regional economic impact of over $665 million annually.

Under the Regional Airports Authorities Act, the Board of Directors is responsible for the stewardship, strategic direction and oversight of the business and affairs of the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority.
