Today, the Greater Moncton International Airport introduced its new School Program that allows elementary school students across the Greater Moncton and surrounding regions to participate in exciting and educational tours at the airport.
Tours include hands-on materials and give students the opportunity to learn about the operations of an airport as well as how Greater Moncton International Airport welcomes travellers and connects the city to destinations around the world.
“Students are the next generation of travellers, and we look forward to having them experience our airport,” said Bernard LeBlanc, President and CEO. “Greater Moncton International Airport is more than a place where planes take off and land; it’s a gateway to the region and an exciting place to learn about.”
Greater Moncton International Airport serves 650,000 passengers annually and offers an efficient and unique travel experience, rooted in the attributes of the region. Backed by the global expertise of Vantage Airport Group, the airport benefits from global best practices applied locally.
School tours are offered at no charge and are available year round. The program is open to Grade 1-5 school groups. To register for the Greater Moncton International Airport School Program, please visit our website at www.cyqm.ca/about/yqm.
